really like this photo i took of a father and daugther at the zebra crossing on my street. it was a thursday morning and i was wondering why i saw a disproportionate number of fathers with their children. i later found out that fathers have to spend three months with their children during the first few years of its (ok, his or her) life before the company pays for the mothers' maternity leave. that, combined with the supreme level of gender equality, sees many fathers ending up the primary care-giver. it's an interesting phenomenom but social policy and high-minded ideas of equality aside, it was just heart-warming to watch these two enjoy their morning stroll.
