steamboat

steamboat is usually a chinese new year dish but one of my favourite adults very kindly planned an elaborate steamboat dinner for before i leave. i didn't realise how much effort 1 x steamboat would require but the lovely lady went to the market thrice on three consecutive days to ensure the ingredients were at their freshest. but the great lengths she went to make it a steamboat to remember were well worth it and i enjoyed every drop

a foodie friend once told me that food cooked with love is immeasurably better than food cooked without and i never really believed her until tonight.
