old habits die hard

we interrupt the perth posts with a bar opening interjection.

was hip and happening (for once!) and went to the opening of ku de ta at the skypark at marina bay sands. a friend of his buzzed us at 1030 and asked if we were game to swing by in an hour. because we like to think we're up for anything, and always with ready company at hand, we rallied sean and traipsed down to the skypark. had a ton of fun - being 57 storeys up and outdoors was pretty amazing. awesome views of the singapore skyline. i felt patriotism well up within me as we looked over the marina. the bar is a nice mix of indoor and outdoor, there was trance (always a good sign), fresh air and flexibility to bop the alcohol off or chill on the deck. more importantly, there was great company (our host is a sweetie! i really like her.) and an open bar till 1am. what more does one need for some midweek excitement? after we drank to our heart's content, it was off to spize for some post-drink tummy balancing. and because i upload photos and blog to wind down, a habit i picked up in stockholm where the weekday parties ended by midnight, here we go :)

check out the indoor vortex as we traversed the building to reach tower 3

view from the top, and from multiple angles

now i'm sufficiently wound down, good night :)
