80s out

i think it's time we put paid to the 80s.

the irony is that most of us were born in the mid-late 80s, so really, it's not like we're re-living the era because we were still in diapers when the 90s rolled round. that said, the 80s were great while they lasted and the outrageous get-ups were worth the time travel.

and then there was the challenge of crossing the city on the tunnelbana without looking like a freak show escapee! don't think my trench fooled anyone with eyes to see the hot pink stockings peeking out though, and purple pumps. shudder. i was so relieved to meet A and S, the cutest 80s couple, because there's safety in numbers and i didn't feel alone in my quest for sartorial suitability.

drinks at J's (thanks S for the mixers!) before sauntering casually over in the spitting rain to L&Ms' just a stone's throw away.
