this was where we convened post-piknik, but before i get ahead of myself...
A.Mc got us together for a protest picnic! i'm not sure exactly what we were protesting, perhaps it was the inevitable end of summer, but he sure picked the best possible day to make our point. the sky was an impossibly clear blue and the sun massively cooperative. so we gathered at the park and made merry under the cloudless sky.
it was good to see everyone having fun. the boys kicked a football around, the girls huddled in the sun / shade, depending on their inclination and there was plenty of food circulating. from cold pasta to chips to DIY self-assembled lunches. the boys got a barbie going and soon enough there were semi-charred weiners making their rounds too. we came laden with lidl* bags, and, as someone quipped, were ostensibly 'helping mr. and mrs. lidl put their children through university.'
and after the picnic, when most of the picnic-ers stopped mid-protest to attend swedish class, the rebels went back to J's to the post picnic with our spoils of war, picked off the picnic floor for round two.
good times :)
*lidl is the cheapest supermarket here. well, one of them.
